Bullshit. Having token friends doesn’t negate your opinions as homophobic.

Are you surprised you were called names? You don’t just not support same sex marriage, you support actively opposing it in legislation. You support denying other human beings rights. If you don’t like same sex marriage, don’t marry someone of the same sex. Why vote against it? Why take someone’s right to choose to spend their life legally protected with someone that love? Why use the “I don’t like it so nobody can have it!” logic?

There is no reason you can’t be religious and support same sex marriage. Millions of Christians do. Jesus never said a damn thing about gays. Leviticus, with the anti-gay sentiment, also says no haircuts, no shellfish, no hamburgers, no mixed fibres, no tattoos. Why, when you pick and choose your beliefs, do you choose to hate people who want nothing more than to love each other and have that recognised and equally protected legally?

You’re a prude. Naked bodies aren’t scary. They aren’t shameful. They don’t hurt children.

He doesn’t care. He knows that I’ll support him with anything else. He can love whoever he wants, because it’s his choice, not mine.”

Most likely he wishes you weren’t such a homophobe. So it’s his choice to love who he wants and get married, but given the opportunity you’d take that choice away from him?

You are a homophobe. Your views are nothing to be proud of when you enact them so viciously.

If someone has a “friend” who is conservative, and the friend is anti-gay, people need to stop being friends with them. The homophobes thinks friendship and our tolerance makes being a bigot ok. It’s not. They aren’t your friend if they don’t accept you.
